Louise Moran is a mixed media artist based in Toronto.

Louise is a graduate of York University (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Visual Arts and Art History). She is committed to life-long learning and has studied enamelling at St. Lawrence College, figure drawing and woodworking at the Haliburton School of Art, ceramics at The Royal Ontario Museum, and clay and printmaking at Sundance Studios in Utah.

As a secondary school art educator for thirty-five years, Louise mentored budding artists in a variety of media including ceramics, stained glass, metal casting, and enamel in a studio characterized by organized chaos, free learning, and jazz.

Inspired by the expression of materiality created by the fusion of unlikely elements, her work is characterized by a unique composite vernacular. Currently, her work focuses on the intersection of natural and built environments and the tensions that arise at the resulting cruces.
